Central Business District
Category：Geography
Nova City's surface core — skyscraper cluster, commercial hub, and home to ACD headquarters.
The core surface-layer district of Nova City, located in the city center, with clusters of skyscrapers, serving as the city’s office, financial and commercial center. The Central Business District is the most prosperous and modern area of Nova City, with buildings connected by sky bridges and elevated light rails, forming a three-dimensional transportation network. The Anti-Chaos Directorate headquarters is located in the core area of this district.
Geography and Environment
The Central Business District is characterized by super-tall buildings, with dozens of skyscrapers over 200 meters densely arranged, among which the tallest “Nova Tower” is a city landmark. The ground floors of buildings are malls and restaurants, middle and upper floors are offices, and top floors are mostly private clubs or exclusive spaces. Sky bridges connect major buildings, allowing free passage between buildings even on rainy days.
The streets in this district are wide and clean, in stark contrast to the Old Town. But beneath the glossy surface, the underground parking lots and equipment floors of the Central Business District also have entrances to the Underground Layer, and Chaos incidents are not entirely absent.
Key Landmarks
ACD Headquarters
An independent office building located in the core area of the Central Business District, with a low-key appearance but tight security. The headquarters houses a command center, training ground, research lab, armory and team dormitories. At the beginning of the story, the task force office is messy and the team is涣散, with the entire task force on the verge of disbandment—after taking office, the Captain gradually rectifies it into the base camp of the “Yeet Squad.”
Nova Tower
The tallest building in the Central Business District and a city landmark. The tower top features an observation deck and a fine dining restaurant, and it is also an important node of the city’s communication and surveillance network. During large Chaos incidents, Nova Tower is often used as a commanding height for coordination.
Central Plaza
A large open plaza in the center of the Central Business District, surrounded by malls and office buildings. The traffic paralysis caused by the Maniac级 Chaos in the prologue occurred on the main road near Central Plaza, where the Captain first publicly displayed tentacle abilities and accidentally went viral online.
Chaos Situation
The Chaos concentration in the Central Business District is relatively low among surface layers, and the frequency of rifts is far lower than in the Old Town and Binhai Coastal District. But when a Chaos incident does occur, due to the dense人流 and complex buildings, it often causes greater social impact. The Maniac级 Chaos incident in the prologue is a typical case—although the Chaos itself was quickly defeated, the resulting traffic paralysis and online传播 effects were enormous.
