Game Publishing License (Ban Hao)

Category：Game Systems

ANANTA's game publishing license (ban hao) was approved in December 2024. It is the compliance prerequisite for officially operating and charging in mainland China, and it directly contradicts the 'cancelled' rumors. A license settles compliance to publish, not a specific beta date; the global launch follows the official January 15, 2027 date.

The “ban hao” (game publishing license / ISBN publication number) is the approval ID issued by China’s National Press and Publication Administration permitting an online game to be published. It is the compliance prerequisite for officially operating and charging in mainland China — without a license a game cannot legally run paid operations domestically. ANANTA’s license was approved as early as December 2024 (see our timeline node “Rename & License”). This hard fact directly contradicts the “ANANTA cancelled / crossed the kill line” rumors that circulated in August 2026: a project that secured its license first is one that already holds the domestic launch ticket. Note that a license settles “compliance to publish,” not a specific open-beta date — ANANTA’s global launch follows the official date of January 15, 2027.

  • DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is NVIDIA's AI image reconstruction and frame generation technology for RTX GPUs: it upscales lower-resolution frames to a higher output and adds frames, holding frame rates under heavy loads like ray tracing. Official ANANTA line: DLSS 4 is confirmed on PC at launch, and the Aug 27, 2026 announcement adds that DLSS 4.5 (super resolution + dynamic multi-frame generation) will follow; its timing is unannounced and to be confirmed. Use this page for "ANANTA PC requirements" and "ANANTA DLSS"; DLSS underwrites the GTX 1060 minimum tier's floor, while the recommended RTX 3080 pairs ray tracing with high frame rates.
  • Tokyo Game Show (TGS) Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is a major annual expo held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. For ANANTA it marks exhibition cadence: TGS2025 had a public playtest booth, while at TGS2026 NetEase / Naked Rain were off the exhibitor list and Chinese majors were absent from the consumer hall, so ANANTA had no public booth. TGS2026 lost its Sep 21 final day to Typhoon No. 25 'Dujuan', with 257,642 admissions over the four days held. Skipping one show is not slowed development — the date, license and monetization were already announced.
  • PvP Mode Ananta has confirmed it will include player-versus-player (PvP) mode. Unlike the purely PvE main story and rift exploration, PvP mode allows direct combat between players. Specific rules, arena formats, and reward systems are yet to be announced by the official team. This mode adds competitive depth and long-term engagement.
  • Shared Wardrobe Ananta's confirmed costume-sharing system allows multiple characters under the same account to share unlocked outfits. Once a player obtains a costume, all characters whose body type fits can wear it, without repurchasing the same style for each character. This design greatly lowers the cost of collecting appearances and extends the game's 'no gacha, experience-first' philosophy.
